Remember this post???

"Unlimited budget. Spend my money!"

Well, I did it and I need some serious help. I'm addicted to buying equipment.

Just picked up the 30D and the Canon 50 f/1.4. Now I just have to sell my 300D and Sigma 70-300 and I can buy 4 gig memory cards to shoot like a mad man.

I just couldn't swing the 5D...too rich for my blood and I wanted two bodies. Either get the 5D or something better and have one body, or have the 20D and 30Ds with some nice glass. I chose the former obviously.

Going to go read the book...love the larger LCD. What's the deal with the different shooting settings that replaced parameters? What else are the must knows of the 30D?

Man...I feel like a drug addict (no offense to anyone that knows one, was a former one, etc.) with photo equipment being my drug. I going to have one big issue on my hands eventually...how the heck am I going to store all these photos? I already have a 300 gig external that's busting at the seams. Do I go with a half a terabyte or dare I say, a terabyte external....gulp.

Anyways...just wanted to share the good news. Off to shoot anything and everything.

BTW...that 50 1.4 is DISGUSTING (i.e. a really great lense)!!! Is that what's called the nifty 50?

Ok...I'm done. Off to rehab.

Nifty is the 50 1.8. You have a problem, enjoy your gear, that's the cure! :)

AHHH!!! A revelation!!! If were all in the same "nuthouse" then we must all be "sane". At least we admit & know we have an addiction... and understand each others "issues".

Good point...and the fact that we subscribed to this forum, i.e. entered into rehab on our own free will, then we must be somewhat sane. Good point. No therapy needed.

There is no turning back, your hooked. Soon you'll need a 24-70L, a wide angle L, maybe some L primes and eventually a 5D or 1 series problem. Check out my sig, my wife does lurk from time on here

I will share with you all my philosophy to buying $40,000 in camera equipment. I heard a commercial that said the average smoker spends $100,000 on cigarettes over the course of their lifetime. Well, I do not smoke, so I have $60,000 more to spend :)

Tough call...but the former is probably cheaper.
