If you have lenses that are practically new the will get a premium price with the box and paperwork. You will lose a little but it will free up some money. But make sure you are very honest about grading you lenes and any responses to questions. Also use the auto calculate shipping with a small handleing charge. To many people go overboard on this and it isn't fair and will lessen you bids. john

I might just trade it in, get the cash and either get some 4 gig cards (as I'm shooting raw more and more often OR I was thinking about getting one of the new cybershots...for those situations that I don't want to carry the big dogs with me. It was practically new and had all the goodies it came with. If you are trying ebay you might have to wait for bidders to come in. They usually don't bid until the last few minutes. It is also good to start the bidding at the lowest price you are willing to take and not use the reserve function. That way if you get a bid the only way is up. john

Is that asking to much considering the camera is a year old and the lense about 11 months old. If someone buys it, great. If not, I'll just trade it all in, get the cash and some larger media/and a good P&S. Don Martelli

I think ebay is your best be if you are honest in your descriptions and when you answer questions. You might be asking a little too much considering the amount of technology that has come out at reasonable prices since the 300D. But hey ebay is truly a free market and I would think you could get your best deal there over any dealer. Reason: Dealer will only give you wholesale, they have to resell the camera, ebay is the equivalent of retail so people will pay more for a good product. john

At the end of the day, I'll probably just trade in the 300D with the grip and see what I can get. I'll probably keep the 70-300 as it does have macro, which none of my other lenses have technically. Honestly, I'm just looking to dump the stuff because I won't use it, don't need it, and it'll collect dust in my house. It could be better suited for someone who wants to get into photography and not spend a ton of money. Don Martelli

curryjc@ktc.com Junior Member 23 posts Joined Jul 2005 More info | you know one option that I used was to keep the older camera as a backup in case things go crazy on you. I also carry my film FTb with me for the same reason. That camera has almost no features or electronics and I have never failed to get my shot with that on. The down side is keeping fresh film. john

Jun 06, 2006 09:40 | #29 True...though I do have the 20D and 30D so I don't see myself using the 300D anymore. However, I could pawn it off on the wife...she might use it. Don Martelli
