Picked up my 30D today. Wow, I feel like I am on some kind of high right now. Such a difference from the 300D. 2.5" screen is crazy and camera feels great in your hands. Just thought I would do as everyone else does and let my fellow POTN members know. Also took a picture of what is currently take up space in my bag.

Thanks for listening!

Cheever :D

I opted not to get the kit lens, I bought the body only.

Ok I have a challenge to you? since you seem to know your stuff buy the selection of equipment, take a moment to explain why you chose each piece over something else. You were very specific in your selections and just wonder why those and not something else? I hope this question makes sense.

Well I hate to tell you, they were all impulse buys, just based on what I wanted for a specific set of shots. I still want a 85 1.8 & 70-200 F4 L for zoom. Those will come later though. I do currently have the 75-300, but yuck, not really satisfied with that lense, so I barely ever use it.

I understand about the 75-300. I had the IS version, it was my first tele-zoom that I bought with my camera. At first I thought it was great, but once I tried it over 200mm I lost all hope with it. Its ok, she's gone now and I have an L that i'm much happier with, you should try it.
