Hi,

Recently I took photos for 'The Insect Play' produced by Newcastle University Theatre Society. It was the second time that i've taken photos for them and I was much happier with the results this time around- it was a much livelier play than my previous effort (which was on the play 'Closer') and I noticed that in order to preserve the details I was underexposing virtually all my shots by 1 or 2 stops.

Any advice / critique is welcomed- I am only learning after all and I seem to have set myself up as the NUTS photographer now!

A gallery of photos from the play can be found here (external link). (Shows the variety of the costumes on show etc.)

Regards,
Adam

Thanks alot Kevin, all were taken with the 50mm 1.8- did pretty well with the available light.

Does nobody else have any comments / critique- don't be afraid to be harsh etc!

Some nice moments & images, but I don't see the 'tacksharp' bit.... I'ld say a bit USM may be in order.

Thanks René. I did not apply any USM to these images as they were very quick edits for the web so that the cast and crew could see them. Is it possible to batch process all of my images at the same sharpness settings?

I use this (external link) to sharpen for web output. Works fine after a bit of tweaking...
