new to the forum,need some help

Hi,
my name is Baldemar .I've just switched to a 20d.I love this camera,there are a few things I just do'nt understand.Today I went to the park and shot a lot of pics.When I got home to see them my computer,& it keeps telling me there are no images on the card.They were all shot in raw,I do'nt understand.Befor I went to the park I stoped by RITZ & looked @ a 2x extender,Iput it on my 70-200 2.8 and when I shoot a pic the camera read EROR 01.Can that have anything to do with it?HELP

Welcome to the forums. You'll find a lot of very knowledgeable and helpful folks here.

I can't help you with the error message, but have you shot in RAW previously with this camera? What program did you try to view them with. Generally, RAW images must be converted to be used. It also may be possible that the image (perhaps the first on the card) was corrupted with the error from the 2x extender and so the card can't be read.

Hopefully, if these ideas don't help, one of our more knowledgable forum members will be able to lead you in the right direction.

How are you downloading the files? Is this in Windows or on a Mac?

The ERR01 you saw at Ritz shouldn't affect your camera once you got rid of the Ritz TC.

If it was a Quantaray 2x extender, then that was your problem. Do a search for Quantaray in the lens forum, I doubt if you'll read very many positive responses. As far as viewing Raw on your computer, you need some type of viewing software that will process the raw image so you can view it on your computer. For instance, if you're using XP, you just can't open the card using Windows explorer and view the images. You should have received software with your camera.
