I had to take an unplanned road trip to Seattle last week. I took an extra day on the way back and did a quickie tour of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park’s. I was surprised how much snow was left in Yellowstone and how may people were there mid-week. I wish I could have spent more then one day between the parks. None the less, I had a nice time. Here are a couple of images from the trip, there are more on my smugmug page if you are interested.

I love your last two. It's been years since I was there. I almost forgot how beautiful it was. Yhose mountains, wow.

I don't recall the name of the first lake, it is between Mamoth Hot Springs and the Norris Geyser Basin. The water with the multi-colored algae is a geo-thermal feature in the Norris Geyser Basin.

The last two shots are excellent and that barn looks really familiar for some reason.

Good series, especially the ones from Grand Tetons. BTW, I've seen as much as 16 inches of snow fall in late June in Yellowstone. I'll bet they've had some in July.

I have seen the barn in many pictures. It is a historical area the NPS has preserved. I think it is called Moulton Barn, not sure though. A fellow photographer suggested the location it to me as we were taking pictures of the sun rising on the Teton's.

Thanks for the compliments:D.
