20d buffer stuck?

I was taking quite a lot of large JPEG + RAW pictures today in 5fps, and I realiase that this is quite a lot of information fo the processor to handle, but after taking around 7 pictures, the camera said 'busy' on screen. I waited around 5 minutes, and this was still there! It wouldn't let me take pictures, view images, etc. Now I know that it may take some time to clear, so is this an error? In the end I had to open the CF slot, and lose the pictures

5 minutes sounds excessive. You might want to check out the card you were using, and (after trying a file recovery program - files may have been written without the corresponding directory entries having been made) reformat it in your computer on general principles.

There was enough room on the card to write all the images on wasn't there?.. If there was, check that the card was formated in the camera and not just cleared of previous images...

Yeh, there was enough space on the card. Plus, everytime I put the card back into the camera (after saving pics on PC), I format it using the camera!
