I'm usually very very careful when changing lenses and use a Rocket Blower regularly.

This demonstrates the Canon EOS 20Ds ability to attract dust like flies around sh....honey.

Hi

I had no problems with dust on my old D30, but when I got the 20D and used the 100-400 lense I started to get dust. Normally cleaned off with the blower, but some now seems to be stuck.

All the best

Keith

Had the same serious dust problem on my 20D (like most other DSLR users), and eventually took the plunge after reading an article on dust removal in EOS Magazine - April-June issue. I purchased the Pro Kit Type 2 for APS-C sensors from their on-line shop. Kit contains rocket blower, speckgrabber, eclipse fluid, 10 swabs, and PecPads, and all in a nice case. After reading the instructions carefully, and practising with a swab on a flat surface to get the feel of the thing, cleaned my "sensor" twice. Total success! More important, I have the confidence to do it all over again. Tip - make sure your well sober and follow the instructions to the letter!

100-400 L IS = Apparent 'Dust Trombone'

Sensor cleaning [with above kit, on my desk at work] will be carried out sober

LOL

Might do a before and after shot of something.

Yep, probably no different in the amount of air it can pump through than a normal zoom (excluding the fixed length ones like the 120-300), just that you can do so far more rapidly.

All the best
