Hi,
I'm using a Lg. 26Lx2R lcd tv as a monitor, okay the question is: it has an sRGB setting, should i use this when viewing my images from the camera and editing? does it mean the monitor will actually be calibrated to view images that are taken in the sRGB colour space?
I've tried the software and even the Spider calibrater, but still the colour's did'nt quite look right, yet in the sRGB monitor mode they look more natural.

Cheers Chris.

I suspect you're adapted to seeing 'wrong' colours, or the colours in the image(s) you're looking at aren't as you expect.

The Spyder is unlikely to lie. I'd leave things set as the Spyder leaves them for a while (assuming that you don't mean an old Spyder that isn't suitable for LCDs) and see how you feel about it after a few days.

I just found that button (SRGB) on my display yesterday... didn't know it existed. I've been troubleshooting color management... I was on the phone with tech support for my profiling device and they STRONGLY suggested leaving the monitor display at the 6500K preset rather than changing it to the sRBG option. Apparantly there are more colors available in the 6500 temerature than the sRGB space?? I'm not sure.... Anyway, I left it at the 6500 and profiled my display with profile space of 5300 because my prints are always too warm... the display's external temperature is a different thing than the temerature that you use in the profiling program (from what I can understand anyway).
