I work at the humane society and have been 'stuck' with the job of taking pictures of the animals (fine by me!). Before starting there back in April, I had never taken a photo of a cat, and had taken very few inside shots. I do not like flash because you have the crazy alien eyes to correct, so I always tried to catch the cats by the window to get the most natural light possible. Well, we've recently remodeled and now the cats have their own room and will not be allowed to romp around on our desks like they were before, so chances are I will get very few window shots. The lighting everywhere else in the building is terrible, so I have to use flash. I took my new Rebel XT in today to try it out with the flash and I was very impressed. I did not have to fix the eyes on the Tabby cat, but did on the Siamese.
Sorry that was such a novel

Here is a shot with flash from my S2 (a little out of focus but mostly I hate the harshness of the flash and the graininess).

Feel free to offer advice. I'm not sure why I'm posting this thread other than because I was very impressed with the clarity of the photos, and wanted to compare them to my S2.
