I have a D30 now. and as some of you know, the focus on that thing is HIDEOUS! So I'm considering a 10D...since they're like 400-500bucks now. I've played around with a 20D and 30D and the way they focus is absolutely unreal compared to the D30.

But how much better is the 10D when compared against a D30?

TIA.

I've gotten better photos with my D30 then with my 10D. I'm sorry that I got rid of the D30.

My 10D was quick to achieve focus. nice little camera it was.

I've never had a D30 or even the D60 but from all the reviews I've read about the 10D, which I did have up until a month ago, the 10D focusing is supposedly much improved over the previous models it replaced.

The 10D is MUCH better camera than the D30 - higher resolution, MUCH less noise, higher overall quality, more accurate AWB, MUCH faster and accurate AF (also much more sensitive in low light), deeper buffer and more.

Best wishes,
Oleg.
