On our cruise we visited the largest Turkish Bazaar out side of Istanbul. I guess you have to give this shop keeper points for honest advertising. I don't think that it will ever catch on at ebay :lol:

I've seen a "genuine imitation" sign on some Greek pottery before and found the concept amusing. Presumably if I had something stamped "fake imitation" it would be worth a lot more as it would be the real thing. ;) :lol:

Thanks for commenting guys. I almost lost track of this one. The shop keepers here were quite aggressive. Often blocking your path and practically dragging you into their shop. On assailed me with; "Let me help you spend your money." He backed down when I advised him that I had brought my wife along for that propose :-)

I thought they couldn't replicate the "black lacquer" that the ancient greeks used to make. no?

I like it. It's a good photo even if you just wanted to capture the text of the sign.

I've received emails advertising genuine Rolex replicas. I'm not sure what that means, but a coworker of mine has purchased them.
