Hi!
I have acquired a well worn but very fun DCS-520 camera for a nominal sum. It's essentially the Prototype for the Form Modern Digital SLR's have Taken. It was a Kodak Conversion of A Canon EOS-1 Film camera and cost an ungodly amount of money when they came out. I am seeking anyone with experience with them who may answer a few questions or who might have accessories to sell, give, or trade. I am in desperate need of another battery or three! Of the 5 it came with 4 were duds and 1 is a gem. If you know someone or have any tips to pass along, I'd be most appreciative.
Sincerely,
Richard W.

Have you tried talking to Kodak Richard? Congrats on the camera.

DON'T ever leave the batteries in the camera! It will run them totally flat, then refuse to recharge them! That's probably what happend to the 4 `dead' ones you have. Canon sold them as the EOS-2000. I doubt you will find any joy from the yellow bird.

You may be able to get the batteries back to life by putting them on a trickle charge for a few hours than recharging in the body.

The base body is a 1n btw.

ZeissFan,

congratulations :D
I don't have any experience with the camera, but I was looking very hard for one 2 years ago. Ended up with a 20D in the end but that had different reasons ... I still consider that camera to be a mean machine.

Take a look at this battery on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com …ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (external link)

Best regards,
Andy

some cameras, some lenses,
and still a lot of things to learn...
