What a pretty flower, what is it?

You need to pay attention to the bg, it's quite distracting. What f-stop were you using?

Agree with Bea -- a nice light coloured piece of paper or muslin would have made the pic better... BUT, that's a nice flower ;-)a

John;)

---------------

I am still very new to SLR camera's as which i am still learning everyday...
I visit this site daily, browse around and look for users who post pictures with specs. i like to know what lens, and what settings.. Myself i am not "bonified" in the f-stop term yet, i see it on all lens. but not sure what it's roll is in the world of photography. i own a Canon EOS 20d and had the photo setting knob in the "NO FLASH" setting so that the camera would adjust the light/apperature for me.

if you know of some good websites with info regarding the f/stop function and how i can get to know this, i would greatly appreciate it.

thanks,
Aaron
