MOVEMENT: Detroit's Electronic Music Festival [Large Images Warning] - multiple days

It has been a while since I have posted photos, but it is good to be back. I have been lurking a little, working a lot, and staying very busy, but I felt I had to share these.

I was one of four official photographers working for PAXAHAU ( http://www.paxahau.com ) who was promoting Movementetroit's Electronic Music Festival. Along with three full days of the actual festival during Memorial day weekend in Hart Plaza, Downtown Detroit, I also attended many of the official after parties and other events. The music festival had over 170 artists/ msuicians, 5 stages, 75,000 people, and three days of temperatures in the 90's

SUNDAY - Day 2

6. the most energetic DJ and producer I know, Anthony Attalla . He was just being funny giving me "the finger" but I think it turned out great, nice dark colors here

Day 3, MONDAY

12. the guy was the drummer most of the time for a band named Nitzer Ebb, they were the headlining band, from the UK, they play "Industrial" . Visit here to listen to their music, http://www.myspace.com​/nitzerebbmusic

#2, 6 and the last four are very nice. I like #14 best I think....
On #2 you could try channel mixer or this action allthough it doesn't works out too bad this way.

Not a single natural color or skin tone! SUPERB! I will look at the whole gallery later (I'm are work) but looks like another grand coup for you! I like 3, 7 , 12, 13 and 15 ... I will try to remember to shoot wide angle (I never do any more) from close to the stage and up into the lighting trusses at my next gig at the casino which is Christian Castro on June 29th.

Natural SKin tone???Whats thats? and I believe the only two photos that any flash used was # 5 and 14, and they both wre all bounce flash pointed straight upwards with a little bounce card used.. #12 is not flash used it is all direct uplights stage lighting from the front

The lack of comments is a bit puzzling but in general (with exceptions) I notice that DJ events get less attention and that events that including many bands rather than one get less attention. Also, in your case, I think that the length of the event is a factor. Your work is great, of a somewhat different style, and I suspect that we have all taught each other so much that we are much busier shooting and spending less time on the boards these days ... that is a good thing!

I am shooting a College graduation party this weekend, maybe those photo will get more attention . "college graduations" are usually not my thing, but this is no normal college graduation party. They are doing a Red Carpet entrance walk area, valet, black tie optional dress code, .... so lets just say it will be a good time .
