this one caught my eye when i noticed this one leaf forgot what season it is...

so i said i would take it's picture and make it stand out...

Yes, very nice, but when the picture is in B&W, you can't tell whether the rest of the leafs are green or yellow. Thus making it harder to understand that the orange leaf is out of season. Yet good idea.

I think the effect might work better if you didn't fully desaturate everything else, but just kept the greens muted enough to where you can still tell that it's green.

I agree with said quote on muting the greens instead of full desaturation, you'll find it's no more harder than desaturating.. if you're using photoshop instead of using desaturate (ctrl+shft+u) use (ctrl+u) and then just slide the saturation bar down some :) So once you've ogt your leaf selected just do the above ;)
