Hello everyone! I am new to the boards here... I am new to photography (this is my first SLR/DSLR). I have always been interested in photography, so I picked up a Canon 20D about two days ago. I figured this would be a good camera to grow into. Finally got a chance to snap a couple pics.... let me know what you think/ any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

Good first shots Yashar! Here's a little advice. For more interest, try to place the subject in the photo elsewhere than the center. Read up on the rule of thirds. Experiment ALOT!!! I have had my Digital Rebel XT for about a year now and I have taken very close to 10000 photos. I now know what to do if I want to an specific effect.
