wheres this smudge coming from?

on the following picture -

theres a smudge on the left - almost half way down...
where could that be coming from? it shows up on numerous shots - usually on similar type colors/backgrounds.

looks like a bit of dust on your sensor...search "sensor cleaning" on here and you'll find your answer.

Susan looks like sensor dust check this out it is a great way to clean your sensor:
