Here are some of the first pictures I have taken with my wife's camera :)
They are of my son's team. Not much by way of editing. Just a crop and removed the colour info on two of them. I was using PSCS2. The lens was the standard lens that came with the camera.

The third one is very good. I like it.
#1 could do with a tighter crop.

What an awful pitch. Looks like the cows just left the field.
Were there any nast incidents with what those cows leave behind? :-)

Canon 50D + Grip, Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L, Canon EF 70-300mm IS USM, Tamron AF17-50MM F/2.8, Canon Speedlite 430 EX + Lumiquest Big Bounce, Gitzo G1564L Monopod + Manfrotto 468 MG RC-0 hydro ballhead, Canon RC RS-80N3, Lowepro Slingshot 200AW.

Thanks for the input. #3 Is my favourite as well. I will play with the first one and see what I can come up with.
Yes the pitch was dreadful. I am a referee and I was glad I was not working on that.
I recently moved here and many of the fields leave a lot to be desired.

ditto, I think the 3rd one is the best...

the tighter cropping and view of his facial expressions make it better IMHO...
