Just out of idle curiosity, how many here are in WI? (Or even northern IL)

Gear: Kodak Brownie and homemade pin-hole cameras. Burlap sack for a bag.

Wisconsin Rapids here. Right smack dab in the middle of this state.
Wish I would have found this site long before I moved here. Lived in kenosha before here.

Central part of the state is nice. Rapids, Point, and Wausau have grown a lot over the past few years.

Point and Wausua are good. Rapids in not doing good since all the layoff's at the mill. Close to 4000 people laid off (last I heard) and still growing. And the city wants to spend 10 million to give downtown a facelift:rolleyes:. They need to spend that money creating new jobs. A guy I know worked at the mill for 16 years, Was making 27.00 per hour, now he is a greeter at walmart. House's are going up for sale like mad around here. Lots of vehicles for sale too. Its pretty sad right now.:(

It seems not everyone reads all the different sub-forums. So maybe there are more WI people here but they don't read this sub-forum.

I am from Wisconsin - and like you said, I thought I would look at different sub-forums tonight to see if I am missing anything. I guess I am. :)

Well I'd like to move to Port Washington or Saukville WI, but the US Government won't let me unless I have LOTS of money :-( Maybe if I buy a crappy boat, sail across the Pacific and around Cape Horn and navigate the Great Lakes...I'd get refugee status from the oppressive Australian Government :-) (Just kidding my fellow Aussies)
