This is my beloved GSD called Simba (hence the title!). I really liked this picture when I first looked at it. Now I'm not so sure - is the background too distracting?

C&C more than welcome for this novice!

I did a gausian blur, and I cloned out the brown(fence maybe?) in the lower right hand side. It was a little distracting for me. Beautiful dog! I love GSD's and this is a very nice example. Yahoo photos must downsize them for me.

Couldn't see the edited pic but think it would be outstanding with the background dark and blurred or else blacked out entirely. It would look like a regal portrait. Beautiful dog!

Thanks all for the comments - I will try and have a play with PS on the background.

Yes he does take some good pictures but then I'm biased and would think he was beautiful if he had all his fur shaved off!!

I like #11 post. It really helps the dog's features to stand out. BTW, beautiful dog - handsome features!

Nice edit Wilky! It produced that little extra "pop". Much better.
