Never really taken any shots like this so bear with me. let me know what I can do to make them better, you know, constructive critisim.

I don't know if its just me , but maybe the second one , now that i'm looking at it again, seems a hare out of focus, I don't know.. I just enjoy playing around with my camera.. I guess I can never get any better unless i try. :)

Both are very soft, with the second one being more so - OOF. Looking closely at the 2nd one, I can't really tell where the focus is. Focus on the eye. That should work. What lens are you using? Perhaps it is just a lens that is soft.

I was using whatever lense came with my 35mm Rebel kit.. its a 28 -90? maybe 28-75..

Nothing special anyways.. I'd invest in some other lenses but I have no idea whats good, and I'm a poor college student :)
