i wouldn't even bother Carl, this is a fantastic shot of my favorite bird (well, i like the tri color one just a bit more but still). btw, do you know if we can find any yellow crown night herons in our neck of the woods? i am dying to see one...

Love the composition, environment and the colors. Did you use noise reduction on this one? Heron seems to have some of after effects. Still a sweet image Carl.

Thanks blonde. I always wanted to see a Yellow-crowned Night Heron too, but I think they are occassional up north here in the summer months. I don't see them listed on the weekly bird reports too often either. Do you subscribe to BIRDEAST@LISTSERV.ARIZ​ONA.EDU (external link)? It's a great way to 'see' what others are seeing and where.

Thanks Zip. I struggled with the noise removal and sharpening. Maybe I'll give it another try.

Thanks wizard. I got this one at Sinking Ponds in East Aurora. CarolP- that's another good place to go for bird shots. Lots of ducks and Canada Geese there too. ;-)a
