Eastcoast Nova Scotia that is.

I have not seen any of these posted yet so when the sun finally came out here I went out into my back yard to capture these. It seems that everyone else is ahead of us in the growing season and have managed to post pictures of flowers weeks in advance if ours coming into bloom    .

Hmmm, I'm doing something wrong here. These look much better when I view them from my hard drive, same file same size and resolution. They should appear very sharp but when I view them from the web site link this is how they come out.

Any suggestions? These have been resized from the raw file, down to the 800 pixel limitation, jpg quality pushed down to bring the file size down to under the 100K limit. This one looks very pixellated, the one on my hard drive does not. If I download the image from the hosting site it looks ok once down loaded. I'm confused!!!

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Photobucket probably compresses them.

Did you also "save for the web"?

Tks for the hints, I'm looking at this from a different system and it doesn't look too bad now. Perhaps it was the way that the borrowed laptop that I was using displayed them when viewing from the web?

I don't think that Photobucket would have compressed this as the files there are allowed to be 1Meg before it compressess (I believe) and I used Picassa instead of CS2 to edit so there was no "save for the web" function available.:( :(

Normally I try and use CS2 for this when it is available.

The picture was taken at around 7:30 local so there was getting to be a large slant to the light and it was well into the "golden hour". The sun was also playing hide and seek between rain clouds so it was a bit of challenge to get out and take the shot without getting wet    .

Once again all thanks for the hints and comments.

I`ll agree with the others John,it could be photobucket.
You better use some other means to bring them here for viewing, and they look good btw.
