The first did not want to let me get close, so I used my Canon 70-300 IS ( my wife relinquised the Death Grip she had on it) the distance on the first one was roughly 6 feet, hand-held, minimal Flash. I did have a 20mm Extension tube on it as well. the second one was more agreeable, I used the Sigma 150 on it, with a 20mm Ext. tube as well. Distance was 3 Feet. Thanks again. Canon 5D
