thanks for the lovely comments on small world.

Mark - it is indeed a water droplet (no surprise coming from me, heh?) If you follow the diagonal lines out of the droplet downwards, you'll notice that they are actually arched. Look very closely and you will find that you can see them all the way across the bottom half of the image. The water droplet was on a CD - these are the rings in the CD. The amazing world of macro... ;)

Zane - no, this one is from over the summer. The reflected image is the yard behind our summer home. The shot that needs clouds is still unfinished. I did a test shot on a day with 1/2 decent clouds, but then decided I needed something more in the image - an anchor of sorts. Haven't decided yet what that element will be, so it remains a started but not completed image - 1/2 on the computer 1/2 in my mind. You have a good memory! :)
