wu wu....tis great art...much more so than some cookie cutter super sharpened snapshot. Never sell yourself or your photos short...I suspect there is actually more than one member of the forum that appreciates artistic shots! I enjoy the lines and the colors. Keep on sharing.

Well said, and I enthusiastically agree! I love your shots. :)

IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

Stairwell @ work. Was trying to do a picture of the day type thing. Had nothing, used my cameraphone to snap it. It sucked. 'nuff said. Was pretty frustrated, because there was a beautiful sunrise outside (not shown) , with some very strange colors and tones. It didn't look real and the cameraphone being a cameraphone caught a nice blur of dark nothingness

And for that: TPBM is the most beautiful and bizzaire sunrise you've ever seen.

Sunrise in Delano, PA...-20F on a bizarre January morning. Drove through snow, fog and bitter cold to see this.

TPBM is an equally fascinating sunset.

thanks, Dan and Cat.
like i said I am rather reticent about posting the stuff I really like to the forums; however I do keep trying to shoot them. :) SOmetimes it works; sometimes it doesn't.
Except for having to soften that one corner of this shot I was able to get the effects I was looking for out of the camera on the others in the series, so at least I am pleased with them. That is generally plenty. It is nice, however, to let them peek out on occasion.
To my art friends I am "just a sociologist," and to my sociology colleagues I am "merely a photographer" and not serious about my "real" work. Neither of them enjoy what I do very often. :p Needless to say, I don't show my things much, unless I can get an invite to an out of region show!:lol::lol:

peach pineapple salsa? That sounds....intriguing. Grab the camera and shoot that. We wanna see. And it is mexican food (kinda) so it counts, right?

OH MY! that is spectacular. It has a certain stained glass feel to it! I'm certainly glad you mde the trip so we could see that excellent photograph. That is certainly something I would like to see IRL.

I live in Fort Lee NJ this was a historical reenactment that I took photos of and got paid for by the town. I do most of the phjotos for the quarterly town newsletter. This pic isn't edited, I took the guy on the right out of the edited version...

Paid for. Words and all. :)

Skrim beat me, but liked my TPBM.... so it is "dangerous for your camera, or you."
