Hi everybody, where's all the macro shooters?
Jamie put those new tubes on your new lens and give us an example of something really small.

Jack

My eyes see well enough, and the camera is capable enough, now if they would just work together.

Great... Now I found THIS (external link)! I wonder how useful it would actually be...

A friend has one I have played with it is really versatile lens. It really gets trashed in peoples reviews on this site but very few of them have one so I am not sure. I keep seeing the words "jack of all trades" parroted around in reference to it. They say it has everything but is not perfect at any. It is a fantastic news lens for a person carrying 1 body in a fluid news scene. It is a bit slow for my liking but if you have a couple extra k let me know how it works.;)

Well for that money, I could get my 100-400, and the 17-40... Those with my 70-200 would do me pretty well...

Brad I think that is the lens that KillBoy uses at the Tail of the Dragon. Now he captures good shots for what his shots are. They are not panning shots like you see me post they are shots of cars frozen on a road that is 11 miles long with 318 curves. People go onto his site and buy photos of themselves driving this stretch of road. I have seen the shots on the web and they look nice. I have not seen any printed. I have to agree with Zane on this. It would seem to me to be a Jack of All Trades and a Master of None. The reason I'm agreeing is that I do not know any of the Motorsports Photogs that I follow closely that use this lens. Most of them have 70-200 f/2.8, 100-400, and the long prime lenses, and yes the imfamous JT has a 17-40. Me personally, I would not buy that lens because it would not meet my shooting style/needs.

The exchange rates are always in flux, but jamie is close. Just remember that blue straps are only slightly fewer cool points than black ones.
some of my best friends have blue ones and they are pretty darned cool. You probably don't have to worry.

I meant it was Wu's support group for TPBM addiction.

I got a red strap, I have a red backpack that I carry my gear in and there was a waiting list for black. I hate waiting.
