what lens did you use for this pic? will I be able to use this for close ups on flowers? I got my 70-200 f4l two days ago, but my wife is interested in flower close ups.

How did you make it soft? Is that from the tubes or in editing?

Mine is soft from a piece of Saran Wrap over the lens.

Dark when used figuratively means sadness, somber, dismal, or gloomy. So this seems to remind me of a Dark Deed. Probably just dinner though.

Thanks Theague
I don't know what it is. It does have a much longer tail than what I got in the picture. I was walking around in Hong Kong and there was a lot of rukus in the trees above me, and I saw this bird swooping in and out of the branches. I didn't even see the little one sticking out of it's beak at first. It landed and I snapped the picture. I thought it was a mouse, I wasn't sure so I kept snapping. I wasn't sure how it would turn out because of the sun coming through the tree behind the bird.
Thanks Renee

Jbarclay....

thats what makes this thread so great...to ask of something and have a picture in your mind of what you are asking for, but when someone else posts you see things from a different perspective...

Great DARK bird shot....
