Hiya To All,
Well I've gone & done it, confused myself even more now, I just got Photo Shop Elements 4 & I'm stuffed if I know where, what or how anything works, it's driven my mad all afternoon tryin to re-size this poor ol dung fly it started off at 4.3mb = 2816 x 2112 & has wound up 95.1 kb = 250 x 178 is this right ??? 'cause to a numbnuts like me it seems a hellish amount out of a shot??? or am I doin summut daft????
You'll probably need a macro lens to see this shot
Anyway have a laugh on me

after you upload the original file you can probably click on image then image size then type in 800 in the width cell. You can then view it in its new full size by going alt+Ctrl+0

Neat capture- seems to be suffering from a colour cast though.

Very nice shot Mark, although as Brian said it has a weird colour cast to it. You seem to be getting the hang of grabbing shots now!

In PS Elements do all your changes, then save. If you want to resize your shots for uploading here or elsewhere for that matter, click on "save for web", change the dimensions to 800pixels on the longer side, apply, and then select the quality so that the final size is below 100kb (for this forum). It is usually somewhere from 70-90%, depending on the picture. De-noising it before you use Photoshop lowers the file size and it makes the pic look better :). After saving for web open the pic again (this version) and use USM (depending on crop I use around 200-300, 0.2, 0) one more time, then save again.
