Nice series. I always find that these guys are very hard to shoot, due to the fact that I always see them at night (low night condition) :) Keep them coming!

Thanks guys! Yup, Lester, that's exactly what I was thinking! The 2nd moth was a rather large one that landed on Angie's shoulder and I had to remove for her. I placed it on a brick wall and then proceeded to take shots, in near darkness. I'm very surprised that I grabbed focus considering the conditions. Was a very large moth, easily 1.5" inches wide or more.

Very interesting shots. The crop has a lot of interesting detail. The antennae look like strings with knots tied in the ends. :)

I agree kwsanders - the crop is nicely detailed, and I really like the yellow feelers, they're like twined rope. I don't usually shoot moths, usually cos I can't simply get close enough or they're flying around all the time (or both), but this is my fave moth shot.
