A collection of different insects, banded all into the one thread so as not to clog up the forum.

1. A very tiny, what looks like ladybird of some type. Taken with the Sigma lens. This was no more than about 2mm at the very most. Didn't nail enough detail in it, but I think I'd have sersiously ruined the background leaf if I had. Any suggestions on how to deal with this type of shot and bring out more detail etc?

2. Closeup of what I think is a Millipede shot (at least I think it is, if it's a Centipede, let me know!).

3. A wider shot of the Millipede.

4. Not sure on this one, I think it's a planthopper of some sort? I love the variation in its wings, and it has a lovely colour, which I managed to capture pretty well I think.

5. Another shot of the suspected Planthopper.

6. A colourful web shot, taken a few weeks ago. Had been raining and it was very breezy, did well to get the droplets this sharp, but it's not perfect. Still, I included it partly for the colours and the web structure.

7. Final shot is part 2 of the web series. Same issues as Image #6.

Nice pics I can't help you on ID. I do like the web shots lots of colors in them. Have you tried to invert them it seem to work for Brian, it might give them another look just a thought:)

Thanks Jeff. For your viewing pleasure, I quickly inverted both web shots, they look quite nifty, you're right! I only posted one of the images here, to keep to the limit of 8 per thread.

Thanks guys, that planthopper is sure nice isn't it? He was quite large, so I had to remove two tubes to get him full frame. Easily an inch long I reckon. I like the webshots as well, if only they'd been a fraction sharper, dang wind!
