war on Aphids

Hiya all,
Well I didn't fall back in my ' Pit ' as I said in my last post, I had one more mooch round the garden & found these Green Aphids on some Feverfew plants & they're being attacked by something? anyone know ( Brian )
Right I'm truly of to my pit now as I'm beat.

Wow, great captures. Looks like some sort of mites (spider mite???). Any more to show?

Excellent captures- suspect they are velvet mites attacking them.

And thanks, that explains my eggs I had on a fly a while back, Brian thought they were velvet mites then but we couldn't see the legs like we can in your shot but its probably the same thing.

blimey, never knew Aphids suffered parasites. Great shots, lots of detail for such a tiny subject. I wonder if Mites suffer even smaller hangers on?

I love macro! There are so many weird behaviors in this world, not to mention the bugs themselves
