more lightning (2nd attempt)

i took these the other night durring a very nice lightning storm... i had to stop because it started to rain to hard... i didnt know how to protect my camera so i went getto and used a trash bag with a hole in it i put the lens hood on and made the bag fit tight on the hood.. seemed to work, my camera is still working
i was the only thing that got wet, lol and i was soaked to the bone, i cant remember the last time it rained that hard here

The sky looks crazy in #1. Is that light pollution? That made for some contrast in the shot. While not lightning it still looks pretty cool. With #2 I'm drawn towards the bottom of the picture rather than the lightning. The lights over power the shot in my opinion.

Wow, wonderful shots, but as a So Californian, I would stay out of the rain!
