I like the shells, particularly the first of the two.
The nail has potential but the lighting is a bit too harsh and overexposed, a non-central composition would help.

Thanks, I have trouble with exposure. I often end up sacrificing the BG to get what I want in the FG.

I still havent figured out how to tell if a picture is over exposed on my little screen on a sunny day. I usually dont know if the picture turned out at all untill I am working them on the computer...
