The other day I went to pick up my 50mm 1.4 lens from the post office and whilst on the way I saw some flowers covered with Bees. Or so I thought ! They were in fact Bee Orchids...
Went to take some pictures today and someone crept up behind me and gave me a shock. Turned out to be a local wildlife expert who is gonna get some sort of preservation order for them as they are liable to get cut when they mow the grass. Glad I was there ! He said that its rare to see the Stamens so well on Bee Orchids - if you look on the pic with 3 flowers on you'll see a double on the top one, single on the middle and an unfurled single on the bottom
