At least I assume that these flowers must taste good because everything that flew by stopped for a sip. C&C appreciated as always!

Are they chives? I like both pics a lot, but they look a bit dark on my monitor :)

Oh yes, they are sweet as honey Rebecca.
I remember as a kid,we used to cut flowers of certain plants and suck the juice out of them,it was just like honey.
Lovely ones, wich macro did you use?

Thanks for the comments!

Bea, I don't think these were chives. They were much bigger than the flowers I've seen on chives, but they do look a lot like that.

Dimitri, I never would have tasted a flower! But, I'll take your word for it. I used the 28-80 switched to macro for these.

Nice photo Becca,

However the details are lost on the bee; I've taken your photo and did the following mod's using PS CS2
- adjusted the white, black and nutral points
- created new layer and applied the hightlight/shadow tools to bring out the details on the bees and flowers
- added mask so that the changes would be applied only to the bee and flowers.
- created a new layer and change the blending to Hard Light which due to the mask is applied to the back round only.
- Merged all three layers.
- Apllied smart sharpen at 60%

Unfortunatly due to the file not being the original and the compression required by this site you have a lot of noise in my modified photo, give it a try at your end with your original and I'll bet you will be happy with the results.

Total time to do the mod's lest than a minute and you end up with a photo that as more detail and a bit more pop to it.

Hope you like it,

Cheers,

MarcB
