Lovely capture with image #1 - great timing. The 2nd shot is good as well, but the contrast from the bright sun looks like it was going to always give the exposure for this shot a hard time - the left side of the Fly is partly in shadows and hiding details :(

Daisys are wonderful for shots like this and so are Queen Anns Lace or Wild Carrot. They just seem to draw insects of all types and usually a crab spider or two. Wonderful shots here, very well taken.:D I see you used a Rebel XT. Just got one myself, quite pleased with it actually and it is a lot lighter than my 20D. Of course both cameras are quite excellent.;)

Thanks Dave. I just purchased an off camera flash cord, I just don't have any bracket to mount the flash to yet, but I think that will help to solve some of the shadow areas... but who knows about the bright white pedals.
Thanks again for your comments.

Thank you Ken, I don't know what it is about the 20D's but I can sure tell when someone posts a picture from one, I say to myself "that has to be from a 20D" and so far I've only been fooled once, and that oddly was from an XT :D

Like both shots. Think the contrast in #2 works well :)

Seems that I read somewhere that the Rebel XT (350D) is almost the same as the 20D as far as the inner workings go and I have read a lot of excellent reviews on the 350D. Anyone who wants a very good dSLR and is on a budget should consider this camera while Canon has the $100.00 rebate going. I really like the 350D and of course my 20D too.;)

The bracket will help a lot. You'll never leave the house without it ;)
