I would love to do a little macro photography, but need to learn more. I did look up the cost of a lens and about fainted dead away. I have a Sigma 70-300 mm lens and it has a macro switch for the 200-300mm lengths only. The few pics I have are hand held, so not nearly as sharp as that one.
