At the advice of other forum members, I have purchased this book.
I do have a few questions for those of you that HAVE READ IT. I have the "revised edition" that includes digital cameras.

1.) Does he ever use a flash? He 'never' mentions it; it's not even in the Index.
2.) The "depth-of-field preview button" is mentioned quite a bit.
I have an S3. Is that where I hold down the shutter release for a sec to have it focus? If not, does this camera have one (it's not mentioned in the manual). Again, if not - how do I re-create it (he mentions how to re-create it for SLR lenses)?

Much thanks!

I don't know that the S3 has an ADEP button. Assuming it has manual controls, you can regulate depth of field most easily in Av mode. The bigger the number means that more of the picture is in focus.

I know you said for those that have read it, but he addresses the "no-flash" issue in another book "Understanding Digital Photography". He says that he can set up a whole studio with lights but can't figure out the little flash on the camera so he always uses a reflector on backlit subjects where he wants to illuminate the foreground.
