WilliamHouser Member  194 posts Joined Jun 2011 More info | Wow lol, a lot of hate for this lens, I just recently picked one up, I think the lens is pretty nice personally (though I am a beginner with only 3 1/2 years of hobby shooting under my belt), here are a few shots I got yesterday...    BTW..since i'm new here...HELLO haha. I have returned to the light side of the force.

Bennis Senior Member 368 posts Joined Feb 2011 More info | Jul 09, 2011 18:26 | #148 I sold this lens a while ago and borrowed my friends yesterday, the lens can produce Ok Images after a bit of PP (ive found mainly contrast and curves).. no matter what I do, no matter what setting or mode even the green box, both my old and my friends copy of this lens produce garbage pictures SOOC. The AF is also extremely slow and completely useless for sports.

Now I know it's not, it"s canon's worst zoom lens. I have always been frustrated, it always seems soft, autofocus hunts on a regular basis. Missed alot of shots. I have tried shooting RAW and pp'ing it but I was never happy. It was a hand me down from my brother along with an Xti when he upgraded. So the price was right.
