My 2nd lens and the one i used 95% of the time over the 28-135mm at zoos for shooting animals. I just loved loved LOVED this lens starting out learning photography and i highly reccomend it as a low budget super telephoto lens on ANY canon camera. I used this on my 40D for the below images:   Tree kangaroo baby Portrait by Evan Animals, on Flickr Orangutans by Evan Animals, on Flickr Chimpanzee by Evan Animals, on Flickr Gorilla Baby Hug Party by Evan Animals, on FlickrI have many many MANY more photos if you would like to see them. Just ask or check out my flickr photo stream and almost anything prior to 2011 was shot with this lens. 1D III - 1D II - 5D II - 50D - 40D - EOS M.

Although the 50mm and 100mm are really good, I needed a versatile one, so out it goes from the shelf. I tried some shots and found them to be decent. I've seen some people do an amazing job with this lens, better than what I can do with my L lens.
