Ok so i have canon G2, and i cant find the software to upload pictures to my computer... I had to reset my computer, and last time my friend was able to connect it without the software... and i have no idea what he did, so now I need help, if anybody knows how I can upload the dig pics to my computer without the installation of the software... thanks

Are you using a card reader? If on a pc just go to my computer then to the drive that says your camera name. works with both card readers and pluging the camera into the computer via a usb port. I know nothing about a G2 but that doesnt matter.

well i have it connected to the usb port, but it just flashes, i cant even open the folder...

Let's back up a little. What computer, and what operating system are you running? Canon USA will let you download the drivers for your camera. Go to the PowerShot page, then Support, and Product Archives. Open the G2 page from there,and then Suppport and Download Library.

windows should do it when you connect your cam to the pc,xp that is (scanner and camera wizard)

You may need to uninstall your camera (Device Manager), restart and then reinstall the new driver first.

Even once you get it figured out, go out and invest $15 in a usb card reader. Faster, easier, no software necessary.
