I had to reset my computer, and last time my friend was able to connect it without the software... and i have no idea what he did, so now I need help, if anybody knows how I can upload the dig pics to my computer without the installation of the software... thanks

If on a pc just go to my computer then to the drive that says your camera name. works with both card readers and pluging the camera into the computer via a usb port. I know nothing about a G2 but that doesnt matter.

What computer, and what operating system are you running? Canon USA will let you download the drivers for your camera. Go to the PowerShot page, then Support, and Product Archives. Open the G2 page from there,and then Suppport and Download Library. Jon
