I only got a few minutes to shoot today, and had to do my post processing at 2 am.

A cranefly:

Question: Why do the colors always look more viberant and saturated in Photoshop than they do anywhere else? I'll mess with levels and stuff in Photoshop and get rid of all the colorcast, then save it, but when I re-open them on flickr or another window, they look desaturated and sort of hazy. Any explanation?

Excellent shots- love the patterning on the cranefly. Suspect the spider skin was shed- too neat for a kill.

Hiya AB,
I've noticed the same thing, when I load from camera to PC the shots go into Microsoft Digital Pro & from there into Photo shop Element 4 to be edited Etc. this is fine but if I then look at them again in MDP they look totally different, got no idea why though????there must be a bright spark out there that does though.

AB - It might be the colourspace that you have set in Photoshop perhaps? I've never noticed a different between Photoshop and posting on my system, and there shouldn't be. An image is an image.

Nice shots btw, #1 is my fave, sharp and excellent DOF. With #2, Spiders frequently moult this skins, it's nothing unusual. I doubt that he was eaten With #3, nice fly, didn't quite nail focus on the eyes, but rather the back section just behind the eyes, doesn't really detract from the shot in my eyes anyways, it's still a fine shot.
