When my dad bought a film camera many moons ago, he was invited to attend a beginner+ course at Sydney Uni campas off Broadway (you know the one)... they ran it over a day on a Saturday. My dad, with over 30 years experience in photography, thought it wasn't up his alley, so he sent me along.
When I was there, I remember hearing that Sydney Uni do other courses in photography for people not enrolled in the university.
You can give them a call and find out. My "course" was about 8 years ago or more I'd say.
