has anyone seen or heard of this gorillapod. If so can you tell me what you think about it.

The specs on the site say max 335g. Yep. That excludes a heavy DSLR wit lens. But perhaps it could be usefull to hold a remotely triggered speedlite. Cheers

If you need a compact/tabletop tripod, I'd rather go with the Manfrotto 209 ... at least supports 2 kg.
Best regards, Andy Had a play with the monsterpod at Focus at the NEC - it held (my mates) 1dsmkII and 24-70 2.8 - on the side of a cabinet - no matter how hard I hit it, it would not budge.... Scuff
