In a danish magazine I read that it really is only usefull for small P&S cameras not bigger cameras like DSLR's.

The specs on the site say max 335g.

Yep. That excludes a heavy DSLR wit lens. But perhaps it could be usefull to hold a remotely triggered speedlite.

... but the monsterpod also only holds 20 oz. ... not the best thing to mount a 10D with 24-70L or 70-200L on...

If you need a compact/tabletop tripod, I'd rather go with the Manfrotto 209 ... at least supports 2 kg.

Best regards,
Andy

Had a play with the monsterpod at Focus at the NEC - it held (my mates) 1dsmkII and 24-70 2.8 - on the side of a cabinet - no matter how hard I hit it, it would not budge.... Thats a bit more than 20oz.

A usefull additional tool, but I dont think I would hang the camera upside down unless there was a sefety net!!!!

There are three sizes available.

The largest will support over 6 pounds, if you believe the specs on the box.

My wife and I just bought one. I think they're overpriced, but they have a lot of potential uses. No shots yet.

About the gorillapod....does anyone know if it works for mp4 players also. Because i saw a video about it on msn and it say that there was an attachment that came with the gorillapod to allow you to put your mp4 playeer on it, it can be seen here http://tech.msn.com …/CES/videogorillapod.aspx (external link)
My problem is that when i looked for it to buy it, it did not seem to mention anything about an mp4 attachment.. does anyone know an online store where it mentions that, i checked Amazon, but its not there.....thanks
