This is a question for any professional motorsports photographers out there. What would be the best long telephoto lens for the job. I am used to using the 70-200 2.8LIS for what i normally do but have decided do some motorsports too. Im guessing that most use a 300mm or a 400mm but do you need the 2.8 or do most people do fine with the f4 versions? Obviously the price difference is enormous and im intrigued as to wheher its worth it for this kind of photos. I would have though that going to 2.8 would create such a short DOF that for fast pace motorsports it would be ineffective anyway???
