We have seen lot's of breeching humpbacks in Alaska and a pod of feeding HB too. But no photos like this... those were pre-digital days:(
Watching a humback breech is like watching a greyhound bus jump out of the ocean...very awesome. Love your photos, Grizz...looks like you had quite an adventure in Alaska

Great capture and you will not see a humpback breech very often. In fact, the only time they can fully breech is when a female humpback has given birth and has been nursing. She then loses enough weight to totally breech.

Oh you lucky ******...
We've been on a few whale watch trips, and although we've seen fins & flukes, we've yet to see one breaching and/or jumping...
