Hi Everyone,
I am a fresh owner of a well worn DCS-520 (Kodak Digital conversion of an EOS-1n) and I am worried about synch voltage dangers by hooking up a Sunpak 611 Handle Flash to it. I found a post or two in here advising of dangers hooking one of these up to a 300d Digital Rebel. I'm of a mind that a Pro level camera like a 1n would be "safe" in this situation, but assumptions are dangerous when it comes to things involving electrons flying about. If anyone has input or a place to go looking, please advise.
Sincerely, Richard

I have no idea about the camera but the voltages are listed here. http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html (external link)

It would appear they can get quite high.

Thanks a Million for your response! ;)
The flash I'm getting, via eBay comes with the hot shoe remote sensor and the seller indicates it fires from the camera in use just fine. Thanks.

You could always slap a Wein SafeSync on the camera. I assume you will be shooting in manual mode anyway?
