To carry on with the hopping theme of the frogs in my last post here are a few grasshoppers.

#1Common Green Grasshopper, Omocestus viridulus MP-E @ 2X

#2 Common Green again (there were hundreeds of them) MP-E @ 2X

#3 Don't know what type this is but I guess not a Common Green with the spots (stacked from 2 frames)

#3 I think this might be the Meadow Grasshopper, Chorthippus parallelus, MP-E ~2:1

#4 Same chap by natural light, MP-E ~2:1 (should have perhaps added some fill flash here)

They're stubby little fellas.

Love them all Lester, No 3 looks like it can't make up it's mind as just what you are and I don't think it's a salute in the last one I think it's saying "don't take my picture my hair is such a mess" :D
